Old Photograph Restoration Services

Young, or not quite so young, many of us have pictures in our possession either from our own youth, or of previous generations that we understandably connect with, and are dear to us.

These images are important from a social history and a personal perspective. However many of these images seldom see the light of day, often languishing unseen in drawers because they are heavily faded, discoloured, damaged or even torn with bits missing. Poor quality retouching can be as distracting as the original damage, use image restoration photographers IOP to breath new life into these deeply personal and historically precious images, revealing hidden details from heavily faded images and restoring them to their former glory, preserving childhood memories or moments in history that will put a smile on your face and inform generations that follow.

Please Note: The degree of restoration possible and work required varies hugely depending on the level of damage. For an approximate price guide please click here.

Can My Photo Be Repaired?

You will be surprised at what we can achieve even when a photo is badly faded, damaged and even in more than one piece.

We would recommend that you take the best quality photo you can of the damaged print and send it to us by email for us to assess it* and carry out a quick enhancement pre-test and let you know just how much detail we might expect to retrieve from full restoration without any obligation.

* Note this image acts as a guide to the work required, ideally for the best result we do need to work from the original image.

Getting your image to us

We will always get far superior results if we have the original image to work on. These precious images are by their nature irreplaceable, so ideally we prefer images to be dropped off and collected in person by appointment to our Tideswell address.

Originals not collected in person will be returned by recorded post at the customers risk following full payment being received (inc p&p).

NB: We always take the utmost care whilst your image is in our possession, images are accepted for restoration at the risk of the original owner.

Your corporate image is your future: trust it to a true professional!
